Sanjay Sethi, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University at Buffalo, New York. He is Section Chief in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Western New York VA HealthCare System in Buffalo.
Dr. Sethi received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. Dr. Sethi completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Buffalo, State University of New York.
Dr. Sethi sits on the editorial board for Advances in Therapy, Current Respiratory Medicine Reviews, and Respiratory Research. He is also a Reviewer for the Global Strategy for the Diagnosis, Management, and Prevention of COPD (GOLD) guidelines, 2005 and 2006 updates. Dr. Sethi is a member of several professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society. He has co-authored over 75 articles for scientific and medical journals including American Journal of Respiratory Critical Care Medicine, Chest, New England Journal of Medicine, and Infection and Immunity. He has also authored and co-authored numerous abstracts and presented on COPD on several occasions.
